For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
(John 3:16-17 NIV)
Not so long ago the world economy was going fine. Times have changed. Recession, job losses, financial crisies. Not good news! Then there's the headlines of natural disasters, wars, twisters, floods and bushfires leaving untold heartache and ruin. It seems our security blanket has been stripped away and our comfort zone shaken to its core.
What is your security placed in? Is it your job, your house, your success? Why is there so much suffering in the world, and why would a loving God allow it? Is there any good news out there?
Well, I can point you towards some good news, and it's to God who is both loving and totally just. I've been a Christian for 30 years and I'd love for you to know about God's unconditional love for you, and his remedy for this broken world. Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the creator of the universe and he is the God who is aquainted with suffering and grief. Jesus Christ lived a perfect life to show us the way to God, was rejected by the religious leaders of the day, and though an innocent man, allowed himself to suffer a criminal's death by crucifiction...but he was raised to life again to prove God's authority over death and sin and all it's miserable consequences. If you are looking to put your security in something unshakeable you need to turn from relying on yourself and be in a right relationship with God. He has a good plan for the future of humanity and this earth. Download this pdf called Good News to understand more.
